foto_ceefc_2017_990_410_rgbFor the eighth time, the largest conference on raising funds from private sources for NGO activities in our part of Europe – the CEE Fundraising Conference – will take place in the second week of October in Bratislava.

The conference will last two days, covering the latest fundraising trends. It will include talks by experts from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Serbia and other countries.

The star of this year’s CEEFC will be Alan Clayton from Scotland. Alan is a renowned fundraising practitioner, campaigner and consultant, and has years of experience as a director of several NGOs and fundraising agencies. Many sessions will be devoted to the development of innovation, storytelling, donor messaging and related topics. There will also be presentations on specific strategies and techniques for raising funds from major donors, through direct mail and lead generation or educating millenial fundraisers.

The CEE Fundraising Conference starts on Thursday, 12 October, but you may also want to consider taking part in a premium masterclass Great Fundraising scheduled for the two days preceding the conference (10 and 11 October), and other masterclasses. The price of the cheapest package is 199 EURO and includes participation in classes, meals, access to all educational materials and an invitation to an evening party with live music.

Those coming from Poland may want to look at the recently opened flights from Warsaw to Bratislava operated by Wizz Air.

The conference is conducted entirely in English. More than 175 participants from 18 countries participated in the event in 2016.
